Cyber Essentials Certification

Cyber Essentials

Compliance Made Simple.

We do the heavy lifting. Our team audits your environment, fixes every gap that would fail, and prepares your submission so you walk into assessment with confidence. You certify through an IASME-licensed Certification Body.

Fixed-scope packages
Hands-on remediation, not just a report
Built for the 2026 Danzell requirements
01 // How it works
The process

Audit. Identify. Fix. Prepare.

Four stages, each with a clear output, so you always know where you stand, what it costs, and when you are ready to certify.

01

Audit

What we do: We scope your organisation — users, devices, cloud services, admin accounts and network edge — and test it against the current Cyber Essentials requirements. No assumptions, no guesswork.

What you get: A written scope statement and a clear baseline report showing exactly where you stand.

02

Identify

What we do: We turn the findings into a prioritised list of what would fail and why, so nothing is left to chance.

What you get: A clear gap list with a fixed-price quote for every fix.

03

Fix

What we do: We carry out the remediation for you — multi-factor authentication, patching, device configuration, admin access, firewall settings and cloud service scoping. Hands-on, not just a report.

What you get: Before and after evidence for every change, so the work is verifiable.

04

Prepare

What we do: We complete the questionnaire with you, run a mock check, and give you an honest go or no-go decision before you spend a penny on assessment.

What you get: A clean, confident submission to an IASME-licensed Certification Body for assessment.

Certification is awarded after assessment by an IASME-licensed Certification Body. GCube gets you ready for it so you pass first time.

Self-check

Are you ready? A 2-minute check

Ten yes or no questions. This is an indicative self-check, not an assessment, and it will not tell you whether you would pass.

Question 1 of 100%

Is multi-factor authentication switched on for every cloud service that offers it, including email?

05 // Benefits
The payoff

What certification earns you

Cyber insurance included

Certification includes cyber liability insurance of up to £25,000 for eligible UK organisations with turnover under £20 million. Conditions apply.

Fewer claims

The UK government states that organisations with Cyber Essentials are 92% less likely to make a cyber insurance claim.

Earn client trust

A government-backed badge that tells clients and suppliers you take security seriously and protect their data.

Insurance eligibility and terms are set by the scheme and may change. Check current terms before relying on this. The 92% figure is a UK government claim about certified organisations, not a guarantee of any outcome for your business.

Cyber Essentials is a verified self-assessment. Cyber Essentials Plus covers the same controls but adds an independent technical audit of your systems. You must hold Cyber Essentials before you can take Plus, and we prepare you for both.

No, it is voluntary in law. But it is required by many government, NHS and defence contracts, and increasingly asked for by clients and insurers. Holding it opens doors.

Assessment is carried out by an IASME-licensed Certification Body. GCube audits, fixes and prepares you, then submits your assessment. We are not the certifying body, so you get an independent, unbiased sign-off.

From 27 April 2026, all new assessments use the Danzell question set. It is stricter on multi-factor authentication, scoping and Cyber Essentials Plus audits.

Certificates last 12 months and must be renewed each year. That is why we offer a Stay Certified plan.

Our fees are shown in the packages above. The certification fee is paid to the Certification Body and is separate. Remediation is quoted after the audit, before any work starts.

We tell you straight. Under the 2026 rules you cannot change your answers after a Plus audit, so we will not let you book early and waste the fee. We fix the gaps first, then book when you are ready.

Yes. Send us the requirements and we will confirm whether Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus or both are needed, then get you there on time.
